We had originally planned to do this fall family photo session at Jolley’s Ranch in Hobblecreek Canyon, but a week before, a huge fire broke out nearby and the Glenn family had to evacuate from their home in Covered Bridge to stay with family in Salt Lake! When I called Kelsey to see if we needed to reschedule, she said they still wanted to do them, so we ended up taking some beautiful family photos at Jordan Pines in Big Cottonwood Canyon, instead, and it did not disappoint! One of my favorite things about photographing clients at Jordan Pines is the versatility of the area. Year-round, you have beautiful, gigantic evergreens and nearly 360-degree views of the mountains. In the fall, it is especially beautiful with pockets of yellow aspens all around, tall rust-brown and red grass, and orange and red leafy trees up on the mountains. The kids were so good during our entire session together! I was seriously impressed. During family sessions, I like to take time in between the posed shots to play games and explore a bit and capture some genuine, happy candids, and we got such a great mix of pictures I hope they will treasure forever!
