I decided to hold this year's fall mini sessions at Highland Glen Park in Highland, Utah. While it's a popular location for family photos and other session types, I like to utilize the less well-known paths and spots that you can find if you do a little extra exploring - there are little trails that run all around the borders of the park that offer gorgeous light and beautiful scenery. I had the best time photographing several little families and couples during these back-to-back minis, which I only offer a couple times a year, and we got lucky with the most beautiful golden light and blazing autumn colors!
This is the third session I’ve done for the beautiful Aguilar family, and I absolutely love photographing them. I think if Lydia lived in my neighborhood I would make it my mission to become her friend – she is so easy to talk to, kind, and funny, not to mention absolutely gorgeous. And her children are adorable. This was a session to get some photos for her son, Kau’e’s, baptism in December.
We had originally planned to do this fall family photo session at Jolley’s Ranch in Hobblecreek Canyon, but a week before, a huge fire broke out nearby and the Glenn family had to evacuate from their home in Covered Bridge to stay with family in Salt Lake! When I called Kelsey to see if we needed to reschedule, she said they still wanted to do them, so we ended up taking some beautiful family photos at Jordan Pines in Big Cottonwood Canyon, instead, and it did not disappoint!
Now booking mini sessions for Fall & Winter 2018!
I love doing these sessions! In the fall, the colors are beautiful, and I love capturing winter pictures for your Christmas cards! These mini sessions are just the right length for little ones' attention spans, and you can get your family pictures updated and sent out before the chaos of the holiday season begins! I'm doing more this year than ever before because demand the last 2 years has just grown so much. If you're a senior, engaged couple, or individual family, contact me here to book your spot - they fill up quickly!
I so enjoyed taking a few headshots and photos for Connor in and around Lehi Main Street. He's the president of Utah's free market think tank, Libertas Institute, as well as The Association for Teaching Kids Economics...oh, and author of a series of children's books that teach kids the principles of freedom. We had a great mini session, and I enjoyed learning about all the work he does!
